Faroese or Faeroese, West Nordic or West Scandinavian language spoken by 48,000 people in the Faroe Islands and about 25,000 Faroese in Denmark and elsewhere.

N.B. Because of the use of UTF8-encoding, accented letters (È, á, ô, etc.) are not alphabetized in the correct way.
